A late summer tradition is returning to Norwalk this weekend.
Organizers say it took three weeks on the ground in Veterans Park to get the Norwalk Oyster Festival set up with help from over 1,000 volunteers.
This year they're hoping to break some records selling oysters. Last year, they sold over 140 bags of oysters, which is over 12,000 oysters in total.
This festival brings out thousands of people every year with games, live music, and events throughout the weekend. This year, they have a record number of food vendors participating.
Organizers say their favorite part is to be outside and eat fresh oysters.
