A 45-year-old man is recovering after being shot outside a deli in Sheepshead Bay Monday night, according to police.

The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. outside Aziz Deli Grocery at 3589 Nostrand Ave. NYPD says the victim was hit once in the back and once in the left arm.

He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital and is expected to survive, authorities confirmed.

Citizen video from the scene shows detectives with flashlights canvassing the area in front of the deli, which was taped off overnight. Investigators were also seen across the street at a nearby housing complex.

Police say the suspected shooter is still on the run. According to a police source, the suspect is described as a man wearing a face mask, a black Nike jacket, and black pants. He was last seen running up Nostrand Avenue.

So far, there’s no word on what led up to the shooting, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
