50-mile motorcycle rally benefitting NJ Army Reservist begins at Piscataway

A 50-mile motorcycle rally benefitting a member of the New Jersey Army Reserves took place at Riverside Park in Piscataway.
The motorcyclists were led by Expendables MC New Jersey, an organization comprised of first responders, corrections officers and military.
They are raising money for Sgt. Linda Ann Sullivan who is dealing with some health issues.
Sullivan has served 18 years of active and reserve duty. She spends a lot of time volunteering in the community and contributes to police departments and first responders.
According to the group, Sullivan is facing a variety of health challenges and her home is in disrepair and they want to lend a helping hand.
The event is part of the Julia Ride 2021, which is named after Julia Cesaras, an officer who died from a rare form of lung cancer.
The group is using the donations from the event to get a $28,000 grant from Home Depot to help with the remodeling along with repair to her home’s roof and renovations.
Billy Lemeire, of the Piscataway Police Department, says Sullivan doesn’t want the accolades of volunteering and helping others, but he thinks she will appreciate the love surrounding her.
“…I know now she’s gonna do bigger and better things once this is all done and her house is livable for her,” Lemeire says.
