A 6-year-old is in critical but stable condition after getting hit by a car in Dyker Heights Sunday.

According to authorities, the child and his mother were crossing mid-block when the boy was struck by a 2019 Jeep Wrangler on 78th Street and 10th Avenue

Police say the 6-year-old suffered a broken skull and some leg injuries. As for the driver, they did remain at the scene and no criminality is suspected at this time.
