6-year-old struck by hit-and-run driver in East New York

Police are searching for a driver in a hit-and-run that left a 6-year-old injured.

Investigators say the child was crossing Euclid Avenue near Linden Boulevard in East New York when he was struck by a black BMW around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

The driver sped off without stopping.

The boy was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center, where he is expected to survive, police say.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
