8 charged for distributing fentanyl linked to multiple overdose deaths in the Bronx

Officials announced the indictment of Jesus Cabrera, Michael Amaya and Alberto Concepcion with distributing fentanyl that resulted in the death of Malik Rahman in the Bronx.

Officials announced the indictment of Jesus Cabrera, Michael Amaya and Alberto Concepcion with distributing fentanyl that resulted in the death of Malik Rahman in the Bronx.
Humberto Borges, Frankie Capellan, Willie Harris, Luis Ramirez and Jose Figueroa were also charged in the superseding indictment.
Cabrera, Concepcion and Borges were arrested Wednesday in the Bronx. Figueroa was arrested on the same day in Brooklyn while Ramirez was arrested in West New York, New Jersey, police say. Police say Capellan and Harris remain at large.
Police say the suspects involved are members of a drug trafficking organization that operated from a block on 142nd Street between Brook Avenue and St. Ann’s Avenue in the Bronx.
