Several people were hospitalized after potentially overdosing on a form of synthetic marijuana known as K2.
Officials say the call reporting the possible overdoses on Stockton Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant came in around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Eight people with altered mental statuses who appeared to be on K2 were taken to Woodhull and Wyckoff hospitals.
Residents tell News 12 that K2 use in the area has reached epidemic levels. 
Officials say those hospitalized are in serious condition.
