Police say that a 9-year-old girl was robbed of her scooter in Bed Stuy.

The incident happened on Sunday evening at the intersection of Skillman Street and Myrtle Avenue. Officers received a 911 call for a robbery around 8:40 p.m. When they arrived on scene, they were informed that a 9-year-old girl was riding on her pink scooter when an unidentified man pushed her to the ground. The man then escaped with the child’s scooter.

Police sources say that the girl may have been on her way home when she was robbed and told her parents what happened.

There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
