A nun says she feels blessed to be alive after surviving a deadly crash that happened when a car slammed through a storefront in Ossining.
Sister Donna, 91, says she was saved by the grace of God after the car slammed into Cappello's Auto Repair shop Monday.
Sister Donna says she was in the waiting room to get her car checked out. She decided to move across the room for more comfortable seating - and unbeknownst to her, that move saved her life.
Ossining police say a 75-year-old female driver was coming down Geneva Road at the intersection of South Highland Avenue when her car went into the building.
She was transported to Westchester Medical Center. Her 80-year-old husband, who was in the passenger seat, passed away.
Police are calling it a tragic accident.
Sister Donna was one of the few inside the shop who were uninjured - minus some cuts from the glass.
Sister Donna says she is hoping her story of faith and survival can be one of inspiration.
