Activists took to the streets of Bedford-Stuyvesant Tuesday as they continued a push to rid the area of synthetic marijuana.
The Doe Fund marched to reclaim an area widely viewed as a Ground Zero for the drug epidemic.
The renewed efforts come after dozens of people were hospitalized for overdosing on the drug last month.
"We want to take the streets back from all these dope dealers. Most of the people that are on drugs, show them that there's a better way," says George McDonald, president of the Doe Fund.
Activists say if their efforts are to be successful, they will need grassroots support from local businesses.
The fund also handed out fliers to businesses who are proud to be K2-free.
