Activists gathered outside of P.S. 269 in Flatbush Sunday to raise awareness about the treatment of Haitian immigrants at the U.S. border.
The Advancement of the Black Community hosted the rally. Last month, images surfaced of Border Patrol agents using whips on Haitian migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border - who are seeking asylum due to the natural disasters and political unrest in their home country.
Rep. Yvette Clark says she's proud of the young activists raising awareness for Haiti and that she hopes it will resonate with the Biden administration.
The group marched all the way to Barclays Center with the hope that other people will take action. Protesters say the next step is to sit down with public officials, like members of Congress, to come up with a plan to help the migrants.
