Actress Samira Wiley takes part in MLK Jr. sermon re-enactment
"Orange is the New Black" and "The Handmaid's Tale" actress Samira Wiley made a stop in Brooklyn Sunday for a historical cause.
Wiley was part of a presentation of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s final sermon, "The Drum Major Instinct," which he delivered 50 years ago to the day in Atlanta.
The sermon came two months before his assassination.
The presentation was a kick off to Black History Month at the Brooklyn Public Library.
The Phil Woodmore Singers also performed during the event. The choir featured police officers, members of the faith community and activists.
The next performance will be in Atlanta in April to celebrate the 50th anniversary of King's memorial.
