Students and parents at one Brooklyn school got their groove on as part of a special program called 'Parents as Partners.'
The Center for Arts Education runs the after-school program as a way to help parents bond with their kids. As part of the program, students at P.S. 196 choreographed a dance performance and made their own costumes with the help of their parents. School officials say it is a way to boost a child's creativity and imagination.
Teachers say the program helps get the parents involved in their kids' education.
The program is currently in 28 public schools across the city.
