Alert Center: New law allows Briarcliff Manor to impose up to 3% tax on hotel, motel rooms

Gov. Kathy Hochul just signed a law from Assemblywoman Sandy Galef and state Sen. Elijah Reichlin-Melnick that allows the village to impose up to 3% tax on hotel and motel rooms.

Planning a stay in Briarcliff Manor?
Gov. Kathy Hochul just signed a law from Assemblywoman Sandy Galef and state Sen. Elijah Reichlin-Melnick that allows the village to impose up to 3% tax on hotel and motel rooms.
It takes effect immediately and will expire after three years.
The village's mayor asked for it as a way to raise more revenue for the village while keeping property taxes low.
