Annual 5K raises money for homeless mothers in Park Slope
Park Slope residents rallied together in Prospect Park Saturday for a special cause.
Hundreds turned out for the SuperHeroes Run – an annual race that raises awareness and support for CHiPS, a Park Slope soup kitchen and temporary home for homeless mothers and pregnant women.
At CHiPS, residents can stay up to 18 months while looking for work or going to school.
The fourth annual race raised more than $12,000 for the nonprofit and a whole lot of community spirit.
