Thousands showed up to raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease Sunday.
The "Brooklyn Walk to End Alzheimer's" was held at Cadman Plaza.
Participants donned purple for the annual march to the Brooklyn Bridge to raise funds and awareness about Alzheimer’s.
More than 400,000 people in New York are affected by the disease, according to the Alzheimer's Association.
Many walked to show support for their loved ones dealing with Alzheimer's.
The Alzheimer's Association says the march has raised more than $100,000, which helps them offer free care and support to New Yorkers.
