A sixth teenage girl has been arrested in connection with the brutal beating of a fellow teen at a McDonald's in Flatbush.
According to police, a 15-year-old was picked up at her home Wednesday night and taken into custody on gang assault and robbery charges. Her name is not being released because she is being charged as a juvenile.
Cellphone video of the attack has gone viral. Authorities say the girls not only beat the victim, but also stole her purse, coat and phone. She was treated at the hospital and released.
Last week, 16-year-old Aniah Ferguson was the first to be arrested and confess to police. Three of the other girls arrested have been identified as 17-year-old Tilani Marshall, 15-year-old Dahvina Gonzalez and 16-year-old Mercedes Wilkinson. One other girl has not been identified as she is also being charged as a minor.
During Ferguson's hearing, the district attorney said she and her friends had been looking for the victim since January because of another incident.
