Police are looking for whoever is responsible for vandalizing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Westchester Square campaign office. The NYPD got a call about the vandalism around 12:45 a.m. When they arrived, they found red paint splattered all across the front of the office, as well as a sign reading "AOC FUNDS GENOCIDE IN GAZA." This comes after an account named @AshAgony posted to 'X' Sunday night the evidence of the vandalism. It was moments before a person dressed in all black throws paint at the office The account writing "AOC's Bronx HQ was redecorated with red paint tonite by a group called the Boogie Down Liberation Front." Just days after AOC voted against Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's amendment to cut aid to Israel's defense force, a move many say is contrary to her public criticism of U.S. support for Israel. AOC posted on X on Saturday to defend her decision, saying in part, "Of course I voted against it. What it does is cut off defensive Iron Dome capacities while allowing the actual bombs killing Palestinians to continue." On Monday morning, the congresswoman missed a press conference appearance- her staff tells News 12 she received threats this morning and this past weekend and her not showing up was due to security concerns. On Monday, a police car sat outside her office as the search continues to find the people responsible. News 12 reached out to AOC's office and is waiting for a reply.
