Archdiocese: 3 priests, 1 seminarian at St. John’s Visitation Parish test positive for coronavirus

Three priests and one seminarian at a Kingsbridge church tested positive for the coronavirus, according to the archdiocese.

Three priests and one seminarian at a Kingsbridge church tested positive for the coronavirus, according to the archdiocese. 

Masses are still underway at St. John’s Visitation Parish with visiting priests currently running services on the weekends.
News 12 is told if the infected priests are cleared, they can return as early as next weekend.
The church’s website and bulletin do not mention the positive cases, but they have a list of safety protocols including the requirement of masks and the Eucharist being given outside at a reduced capacity.

Priests also need to sanitize their hands before communion.
Weekday services are currently canceled.

The archdiocese tells News 12 that one of the infected priests in his 80s so they are being very cautious.
