A Brownsville playground got a makeover Saturday thanks to some kids and veterans.

Army Veterans joined with neighborhood children to give Carter G. Woodson Playground a new coat of paint.

The event was organized by non-profit "The Mission Continues" which helps veterans readjust to civilian life by engaging them in their communities with activities like this one.

The group has been actively involved with projects all over Brooklyn.
