Artists add Broadway star to Bushwick mural
The image of Anthony Ramos, of the Broadway hit "Hamilton," has joined Eddie Murphy, Rosie Perez and Jackie Gleason on the wall of the 83rd Precinct in Bushwick.
The founder says all the people chosen for graffiti art on the precinct's wall are from Bushwick or have some ties to it.
The artwork is part of a program called Spread Art NYC, which aims to bring the police and the community together through art.
Organizers say the artwork also helps to bring attention to the famous people who came out of Bushwick, letting the younger generation know that they can achieve success, too.
Artists are also painting flags of the different countries that make up the Bushwick community.
