For families looking to make sure that they stay safe from the Omicron variant of COVID-19, you can now order an at-home COVID-19 test kit straight to your door.
The website officially launches today, but was working in limited capacity Tuesday, which means you may have hit a speed bump if you tried to access the site – especially for those in apartments or multifamily houses.
The rapid tests will be delivered to you by the United States Postal Service. The website is meant to allow four free COVID-19 tests to be ordered per residential address. The tests are estimated to arrive in 7-12 days, and are rapid antigen tests, not PCR tests.
For those who need more than four tests, you should be able to get reimbursed by private health insurance for up to eight tests a month.
