The FDNY says at least 10 firefighters were injured battling a third-alarm fire inside a warehouse in Greenpoint.

Thick black smoke began billowing from the two-story recycling plant at 485 Scott Ave. around 3:45 p.m. Thursday.

Crews arrived on scene seven minutes later and battled the blaze for over four hours, according to fire officials.

The FDNY says the fire started in the back of the building and quickly escalated to a third alarm, sending 192 fire and EMS crews to the scene.

News 12 cameras captured fire trucks and ambulances lined up for blocks as they worked to figure out how to tackle the flames.

Four of the injured firefighters were taken to nearby hospitals, while EMS treated two more on scene. A third declined transport to the hospital.

Fire officials say none of the firefighters suffered serious injuries - one firefighter was injured from a fall, while the rest had heat-related ailments.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
