Atlantic Avenue to see pedestrian safety upgrades

The city announced Friday a $37 million traffic safety overhaul along Atlantic Avenue between Logan Street and Georgia Avenue.
The safety improvements include expanding the median and extending the curbs to shorten the crosswalk.
City Councilman Rafael Espinal says the measures will make it safer to cross Atlantic Avenue.
The work will be completed by winter 2020.
