Authorities: 1 woman dead, driver arrested in fatal Bed-Stuy car crash

Officers say the driver is now facing a long list of charges including reckless driving.

A fatal car crash in Bed-Stuy over the weekend left one woman dead and one man behind bars, police say.
According to the NYPD, they were attempting to pull over 32-year-old Juan Lopez after he ran a red light at the corner of Central and Gates avenue and struck a Honda pilot Sunday at around 5:30 a.m.
Micah Dukes, 29, was ejected from the vehicle onto the pavement due to the crash. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she died.
Lopez is now facing a long list of charges including reckless driving and leaving the scene of an incident.
