Authorities: 2 children, police officer injured in hit-and-run at Newark block party

Authorities say two children and a police officer were injured following a hit-and-run in Newark.
It happened just before 4 p.m. Saturday at a block party on Irvine Turner Boulevard.
Police say a 10-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The officer and second child were not seriously hurt.
Police say the investigation is ongoing as they search for the driver.
