A 5-year-old boy nearly drowned Sunday at McCarren Park Pool but was saved by a good Samaritan.   

Authorities say the boy was in cardiac arrest when he was pulled out of the public pool and taken to a hospital. He is now in stable condition.

The pool was closed after the incident.

The NYPD hasn’t revealed details surrounding the incident but is investigating its cause.
