Authorities have announced an arrest following the fatal stabbing of a woman in Newark.
According to authorities, Ramunas Katkus, of Summit, has been arrested for the murder of Angelika K. Miles, 28, of Summit.
Police discovered Miles Friday, Aug. 26 around 3:45 a.m. on the 500 block of Ferry Street. She was suffering from stab wounds and transported to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:42 a.m.
Katkus is charged with murder, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
