Investigators are asking the public’s help to find a suspect accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl from the Bronx.
Officers released photos of Marcus Wiggins, who is accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl twice this year in her own home.
According to police, Wiggins is known to the victim.
Authorities say in May, Wiggins allegedly approached the girl inside of her home near Gerard Avenue and East 164 Street and raped her.
The second attack happened just before midnight on Nov. 5. Police say the suspect threatened the victim at home with a knife and forced her to perform a sexual act on him.
They say the young girl then ran away following the second attack.
Emergency services responded to the incident and the child was taken to a hospital where she was treated for cuts to her arm.
Police say Wiggins was previously arrested for a kidnapping in 2000 and for a sex-related crime in 2005.
He is believed to have fled to North Carolina.
