The Sheriff’s Joint Compliance Task Force, along with HSI-NY and the NYPD, executed two search warrants in Brooklyn, resulting in three arrests and $1.7 million worth of cannabis and related products seized.
Authorities executed two search warrants at a smoke shop location and a second story apartment, used to store illegal products, with two simultaneous smoke shop inspections in the Bed-Stuy section of Brooklyn.
The search warrants stemmed from an ongoing investigation into deceptive practices of utilizing a false opening and connective chute from the second story apartment to the smoke shop – to store illegal products.
The search warrants resulted in the seizure of approximately 1,096.6 pounds of illicit cannabis and related products, an estimated $1.7 million worth of illegal contraband. The seizure included 573 pounds of cannabis flower, 242.1 pounds of THC concentrate, 157.8 pounds of THC edibles, 123.7 pounds of THC vape, 1,076 pounds of flavored vape products, 437.5 pounds of OTP, and 44.4 cartons of untaxed cigarettes.
Approximately $20,320 in currency was removed from the location, and three individuals were arrested for criminal trespass, criminal possession of cannabis and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
