Authorities say strong winds caused a tree to fall on a man in Flatbush Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at East 17th Street and Avenue H, when a man was struck by an oak tree while returning from work.
Witnesses say the man was knocked off his feet and was visibly in pain, but he appeared conscious.
Emergency crews arrived to the scene and took the man to Kings County Hospital with injuries to his face and arm. The man's condition is not yet known.
