Authorities say a woman and her dog were killed in a house fire in Dutchess County late Saturday night.

They say the fire started around 11:30 p.m. at a home at 11 Lakeview Road in the town of LaGrange.

Firefighters arrived to find the house engulfed in flames with propane tanks fueling the fire in the back.

Seven different fire departments tackled the flames. It took nearly two hours for the fire to be extinguished.

Firefighters say they found the female occupant deceased.

They say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
