14h agoA Yonkers man was arrested after he was seen outside the home of a noted Iranian dissident journalist with a loaded AK-47, authorities say.
Federal authorities say Khalid Mehdiyey was seen outside of the home two days last week.
Authorities say he remained there for several hours and acted suspiciously.
During a search of his car, the NYPD says it learned that he was driving with a suspended license, a loaded weapon and $1,100.
He was remanded and will appear before a U.S. federal magistrate later this month.
