New Britain-based Avery's Beverages is taking aim at Russian President Vladimir Putin with a new limited-edition soda with proceeds benefiting the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
The bottle art is from a local artist showing the Russian president taking a punch on the nose from a boxing glove in Ukrainian colors.

Avery's Beverages has been bottling soda in New Britain since 1904.
Avery's has become known for topical sodas based around elections and current events.
General manager Rob Metz says Putin Punch is their way of supporting Ukraine.
"It came out of a little bit of a sense of, I don't want to say frustration, but helplessness. You really want to do something," said Metz.
Putin Punch has raised several thousand dollars so far.
Customers say they're excited for another way to show their support, especially those with family on the ground in Ukraine.
