A baby sitter and a little boy were seriously hurt after a gate collapsed in Park Slope Thursday afternoon.
According to emergency responders, a metal awning that sat on top of a cat clinic at Fifth Avenue and President Street came crashing down on top of a 59-year-old woman and a 2-year-old in her care. Both victims were rushed to Lutheran Medical Center and are expected to be OK.
The Department of Buildings and the Office of Emergency Management are investigating.
