Bail has been denied for radioman George Weber's 16-year-old accused killer.
John Katheis will stay in jail while he waits for his trial to begin. Katheis' family wanted him to be released on his own recognizance or on $10,000 bail.
Weber was found dead in his Carroll Gardens home in March. Katheis is accused of stabbing him about 50 times after he says he answered Weber's adult smothering-ad on Craigslist.
His next court date is set for October.
