The total solar eclipse is coming up on April 8, and New York City libraries are helping curious watchers prepare.
The Bay Ridge Library gave away free solar eclipse glasses on a first-come, first-served basis. Other locations include the Queens Public Library and New York Public libraries.
They will be passing them out on the second floor until 5:30 p.m.
