Dozens of Bay Ridge residents were without power for hours Wednesday as crews worked to repair damage from a sinkhole in the neighborhood.
The sinkhole on 79th Street, between Third and Fourth avenues, opened up sometime Tuesday evening. Officials reported no injuries.
The Department of Environmental Protection blamed a water main break for the damage.
Residents were concerned about the power outage due to the heat and the number of senior citizens living in the area.
