Bed-Stuy is now home to a new community space and family enrichment center called the Bed-Stuy NEST.
The center, located on Nostrand Avenue between Monroe and Madison St., welcomed Brooklyn residents to celebrate its grand opening.
The goal of the center is to provide a space where families can meet, find resources, and give back to their community. The NEST in the name Bed-Stuy NEST stands for Neighbors Embracing Strengths Together, and the center is a collaboration between the city’s Administration for Children Services and a nonprofit called Little Flower Children.
Little Flower Children is expected to oversee the center’s day-to-day operations, and it will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., while also opening on weekends for planned events.
