Plans are in the works for a Bed-Stuy pilot program that will focus on adding more businesses, youth groups, job outreach centers, and community organizations to the area.
C-NED (Comprehensive Neighborhood Economic Development) will work to provide more financial stability to Bed-Stuy residents.
C-NED officials have met with the City Council, and the program is still in the hearing phase. The executive director says the ball is rolling on adding more programs to Bed-Stuy. City Council members say they will meet with C-NED again in a few months to follow up on progress.
