Bed-Stuy street co-named for legendary jazz drummer, Brooklyn native Max Roach

In celebration of Juneteenth, Mayor Eric Adams unveiled at Greene and Marcy avenues the street sign being co-named after the Brooklyn native.

A street in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood has been co-named after legendary Jazz drummer and composer Max Roach.
In celebration of Juneteenth, Mayor Eric Adams unveiled at Greene and Marcy avenues the street sign being co-named after the Brooklyn native.
Roach grew up in Bed-Stuy and is considered one of the most important drummers in history.
