A Brooklyn woman who was struck and killed by an alleged unlicensed driver Tuesday is being remembered by her co-workers and friends.
Investigators say Dorthia Wallace, 38, was walking to work at 5:30 a.m. when an SUV driven by state corrections officer Damon Padmore slammed into her.
Wallace's colleagues at Macy's, where she worked as a manager, remembered her as a kind and fun-loving person who loved her job.
Padmore was arrested in the fatal crash. Police say he was driving with a suspended license.
