The Bedford Public Library is offering free lectures while empowering minority teachers.
In collaboration with the Prospect Park Alliance, the University Open Air series is back for another round of lectures.
The program hopes to give immigrant professors and teachers an opportunity to showcase their passions.
Many of them are unable to teach in the United Stated without the program.
"It's really our mission to provide the public with information and access to resources and access to diverse voices and I think this sort of came together from our every day lives," says Fritzi Bodenheimer of the Brooklyn Public Library.
The lectures are free and will run until March 7.
