A violent robbery in Bensonhurst has left residents worried about their safety in what they say is usually a safe neighborhood.
Police say four men broke into a home through a front window early in the morning. Officials say they pistol-whipped one man, punched another and zip tied all three victims, including a woman who was left unharmed.
News 12 was told the robbers then stole watches, a purse and $20,000 in cash, before taking off.
“I never even heard of something like that in the neighborhood. I don’t understand that,” says Deena Bono, who lives down the block from where the robbery occurred.
Residents tell News 12 they’re considering additional security measures, like Ring cameras.
