Presidential hopeful and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders continued his campaign tour of Brooklyn with a stop Sunday in Coney Island.
Hundreds of supporters attended the rally. People waited in line for hours to get a glimpse of Sanders, who grew up in Midwood.
"We used to go swimming right around here, I think I've eaten half the hotdogs that Nathan's produced," the candidate said.
He touched on issues that matter to borough residents, including income inequality, the environment and the cost of education.
Sanders and other presidential candidates, including Hillary Clinton, are doubling down in New York ahead of the crucial April 19 primaries.
