A 12-year-old Brooklyn boy has landed an internship at a Manhattan-based style box company that depends on children just like him.
Legasii Fox was one of many children selected to be on the board of directors at Kidbox – which helps streamline the shopping process for parents while helping kids look and feel good about giving back.
The board will decide on which organizations will receive charitable donations.
Nonprofit "Children of Promise" is one of the organizations receiving new, donated clothing. Their mission is to give hope to kids whose parents are in prison - kids like Fox.
"Coming here helps me. I know that I could focus and express myself to people and now my anger problems are not as extreme as they were," he told News 12
As a part of Kidbox's kid board of directors, his message to others is expectedly wise beyond his years:
"Be yourself. Don't be anybody else because everyone else is taken."
Kidbox employees say they will continue working with nonprofits toward their ultimate goal, which is providing clothing for 1 million kids in need.
