The fourth annual Better With Pets Expo in Greenpoint promoted pets, their health and their effects on humans Tuesday.
There were expert panels on hand discussing topics like nutrition and product labeling.
Nestle Purina hosted the event. One of the stated goals was to promote the idea that animals can improve quality of life for humans.
According to experts, humans and dogs can lower one another's stress levels and anxiety hormones.
