Police have arrested two suspects in the kidnapping and assault of a Brooklyn woman that they say also attempted to force into prostitution. Police say Steven Benoit, 25, of Long Island, and Jasmine Wilkins, 19, of Virginia, abducted the woman as she was walking home early Monday morning in East New York. Officials say the suspects drove the victim, 28, to several locations, and tried to coax her into sex with random men. The victim escaped and ran to a nearby post office, where police took her to the 81st Precinct. She described her captors and their vehicle, which was later spotted at the Imperial Hotel in East New York. The suspects were arrested after a pursuit. Officials say the incident is the fourth major abduction case to hit the area in several weeks.
