A Christmas celebration in Brooklyn shared the story of the original Santa Claus and was mindful of other early Dutch traditions.
The Dutch holiday story that dates back hundreds of years involves a man wearing a tall, red bishop's hat who arrives on a horse to greet people. His name is Sinterklaas.
Kids and their families gathered at the Wyckoff House and Museum in East Flatbush Saturday to partake in some traditional Dutch festivities.
They fed carrots to a horse that represented the one Sinterklaas rode, and lined up to sign a big, red book that lists who's naughty and nice.
