The Brooklyn College Anti-War Coalition spent Election Day pounding the pavement in Flatbush in an effort to get Army recruiters out of the borough.
Students gathered for the third week near a recruitment center. They handed out pamphlets and opt-out forms. Coalition members say the military is preying on high school students who may not know they have other options available.
An Army spokesperson says the coalition has a right to voice its opinion. The Army says it helps protect that right and recruiters will continue to seek quality candidates in the borough.
